Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when ChatGPT Image ("ChatGPT Image," "we," "our," or "us") may issue refunds for paid credit purchases and billing issues.

ChatGPT Image sells digital credit packs and related AI image generation services. Because credits can be used immediately to generate digital outputs, purchases are generally non-refundable once credits have been used.

ChatGPT Image is a third-party creative tool and is not affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT.

1. General Refund Rule

Paid credit purchases are generally final once any credits from that purchase have been used.

We may approve a refund when:

  • you were charged more than once for the same order;
  • a payment succeeded but the paid credits were not delivered to your account;
  • a billing error occurred because of a technical problem on our side;
  • you request a refund within 7 days of purchase and none of the paid credits from that purchase have been used;
  • we are required to issue a refund under applicable law.

If only part of a credit pack has been used, the purchase is generally not eligible for a refund.

2. 7-Day Refund Window for Unused Credits

You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if:

  • the purchase was made directly on chatgptimage.co;
  • none of the paid credits from that purchase have been used;
  • the credits were not promotional, bonus, referral, trial, or complimentary credits;
  • the account is not involved in abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, or policy violations.

Once any paid credits from a purchase are used, that purchase becomes non-refundable, even if unused credits remain.

3. Non-Refundable Cases

We do not issue refunds for:

  • used or partially used credit packs;
  • completed, partially completed, failed, cancelled, or interrupted image generations where credits were consumed under the normal service rules;
  • dissatisfaction with creative results where the service functioned as intended;
  • prompts or outputs that do not match your subjective expectations;
  • promotional, bonus, referral, trial, or complimentary credits;
  • purchases made more than 7 days before the refund request;
  • accounts involved in abuse, fraud, spam, scraping, policy violations, payment disputes, or chargeback misuse;
  • loss of access caused by account suspension or termination due to policy violations;
  • delays, outages, or degraded performance that do not prevent credit delivery or service access in a material way.

4. Failed Delivery or Duplicate Charges

If credits were not added to your account after a successful payment, contact us at support@chatgptimage.co with your order details.

If we confirm that payment succeeded and credits were not delivered, we may:

  • add the missing credits to your account;
  • correct the account balance;
  • issue a refund for the affected purchase;
  • take another reasonable corrective action.

If you were charged more than once for the same order, we will investigate and may refund the duplicate charge after verification.

5. Technical Errors

If a technical error on our side prevents paid credits from being delivered or causes an incorrect charge, we may issue a refund or account credit after investigation.

Technical errors do not include normal AI generation variation, creative dissatisfaction, prompt misunderstanding, or outputs that require further prompt refinement.

AI-generated images may vary in quality, style, accuracy, text rendering, and prompt adherence. This variation is part of the nature of AI image generation and does not automatically qualify for a refund.

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe there is a billing issue, contact us first at support@chatgptimage.co so we can investigate.

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend the related account, freeze credits, restrict future purchases, or request additional verification while the dispute is reviewed.

Fraudulent chargebacks, repeated disputes, or payment misuse may result in account termination.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@chatgptimage.co with:

  • your account email;
  • order reference or payment receipt;
  • purchase date;
  • the credit pack purchased;
  • the reason for the refund request;
  • any relevant screenshots or error messages.

We aim to respond within 3 business days, but complex billing investigations may take longer.

8. Refund Review Process

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.

We may review:

  • purchase date;
  • credit delivery status;
  • credit usage history;
  • generation history;
  • payment processor records;
  • account activity;
  • fraud, abuse, or policy violation signals;
  • applicable legal requirements.

We may deny refund requests that do not meet this policy.

9. Processing Time

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method whenever possible.

After we approve and initiate a refund, it typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or local payment method. In some cases, refunds may appear as a reversal rather than a separate refund transaction.

We do not control bank or card issuer processing times.

10. Credits Instead of Refunds

In some cases, we may offer account credits instead of a payment refund, especially when:

  • a minor technical issue affected a small number of generations;
  • credits were delayed but later delivered;
  • the issue does not qualify for a cash refund;
  • you agree to receive account credits as a resolution.

Account credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money unless required by law.

11. Promotional and Free Credits

Promotional, bonus, referral, trial, or complimentary credits are not refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.

If an account receives both paid and promotional credits, we may determine the order in which credits are consumed based on our internal credit rules.

12. Abuse, Fraud, and Policy Violations

We may deny refunds and restrict accounts if we detect:

  • fraudulent payment activity;
  • abuse of free trials, promotions, or referral systems;
  • repeated refund requests inconsistent with normal use;
  • chargeback misuse;
  • attempts to resell, transfer, or exploit credits;
  • violations of our Terms of Service, acceptable use rules, or content policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

The Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase generally applies to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or is more favorable to you.
